This Gyuto is the result of a collaboration between Patrik Carlvik at Smedja Aspen and Erik Mases at Shinogi.
The blade is a hon-warikomi forge by Smedja Aspen, known for their heat treatment — and it’s nothing short of brutal!
The blade is thinly ground with a clean migaki finish — a true laser for those seeking performance!
Note: Please avoid cutting hard ingredients such as frozen items, bones, or crispy bread crusts. Hard and thin steel is brittle and may chip if misused.
Never leave the knife wet or dirty, as carbon steel can rust if not properly cared for.
