Common questions about our sharpening services

In most cases yes, but we recommend that you contact us in advance so we can help you in the best way.
How can i make my knife stay sharp for longer?
We recommend that you strop your knivs regularly to keep the edge sharp for longer. If you're a professional chef or if you use beater knives, then we woukd recommend a honing rod instead. Ceramic rods for japanese knives and diamond rods for meavy beater knives.
Is my knife worth sharpening?
The only knives we do not recommend sharpening are cheap damascus knives from Pakistan. These knives are often not properly quenched and cannot hold an edge, and traces of lead has been found in some knives as they often forge them out of scrap metal.
Do you sharpen razors?
Yes, we sharpen all razors on whetstone.
Do you sharpen scissors?
Yes we mainly sharpen kitchen scissors, pruning shears and scissors for textile.

Our Knives
Maintenance care
- Our knives are made for high performance; therefore, the steel is very hard and thin.
Please never cut anything that requires forcing the knife through an ingredient, as you risk chipping the blade.
Always keep the knife dry and clean — carbon steel might rust if not properly cared for.
We recommend regularly oiling them with tsubaki oil to prevent oxidation.
My knife has rust on it, what can i do?
No panic! The sooner you remove the rust, the better, but everything can be fixed! You can always bring the knife in and we’ll take care of it.
Otherwise, there are products like rust erasers or polishing paste such as Autosol that can remove rust. Just apply the polishing paste to a microfiber cloth and rub it on the rust-affected area.
Do you offer a return policy?
Yes we do offer a 30 day return policy as long as the knife is un-used and in mint condition.
Do you offer any guarantees?
Every knife is carefully inspected throughout the entire process of making it. Any defects in the steel and well dispose of that blade. In some cases, we've seen glue in japanese knives that has dried up and no longer holds the handle in place, if that woukd ever happen any of our knives, we will repair it without any extra costs!
